The Site
There's not much to tell here. I coded it myself, added all the info myself and host it on my own domain. I don't really intend it to be an in-depth resource by any means, just a nice place to give Cecil some of the love he deserves. The layout is pretty basic overlays plus Amano art. The art was scanned by Emma and can be found at Streaks of Day.
The Name
I went the default shrine route and named the site after Cecil's ultimate weapon. Usually I don't abide by that, but Cecil's final weapon has a name that actually reflects Cecil. He brings light to the world, it's just that simple. I like how Final Fantasy IV exists in terms of lights and darks, and I knew I wanted the word "light" somehow reflected in my site named. I thougt about "lux" but I thought that people would think it refered to his hair. Lightbringer it is!
The Reasons
I've always wanted a Cecil shrine, because he was always one of my favorite characters and he seems to be under-represented in the shrine world. There are a few Kain shrines, lots of Rydia shrines, a few scattered tributes for Rosa, Edward, and Edge, and for Cecil, nothing. He's the main character, and he has an interesting storyline to boot.
