Laguna is an occasionally playable character, for the duration of his lenghtly, reccuring subplot. He is a member of the Galbadian army, and fights with a machine gun. It's a standard weapon and he can't upgrade it. His limit break is called Desperado. He tosses a grenade and empties a few clips of ammo whilst generally looking like an action hero. The word desperado is an English bastardization of an old Spanish word, meaning someone who is reckless, dangerous, or on the run. Interesting choice for Laguna.
