Suikoden III
The Swordsman of Harmonia Sans Sword
Suikoden III was a departure for the series and for the genre as a whole. The game has three main protagonists, with their own names, personalities, and alliances-- and the game tells the story of the Second Fire Bringer War from each of their perspectives. It's also a damn excellent RPG, and in my mind the best one there is on the Playstation 2. Combo Bonus: cigar-smoking badass duck!
Nash returns fifteen years after his Gaiden gig as one of the most important members of Chris's supporting cast. He's both a traditional mentor-type figure and a secret spy for the enemy, but he pulls it off with surprising grace.
Gaidens Go!
- In-Game: He has statistics! And strategies!
- Chris: My favorite relationship in the game.
- Foiled!: Nash vs. the Zexen Knights
- Motivations: His quest and relations with Harmonia.
- Hot Stuff: Nash Latkje: Laides' Man.
